About Dr. Rebecca Dunsmoor-Su

Rebecca Dunsmoor-Su, MD, MSCE is a board-certified OB/GYN who specializes in treating vaginal atrophy and other common gynecological conditions brought about by menopause and cancer treatment. She sees patients from across the Pacific Northwest at RENUvaGYN, a world-class vaginal rejuvenation center in Seattle.

A native of southern California, Dr. Dunsmoor-Su attended high school in both California, and a year abroad in Belgium. She went on to earn her undergraduate degree from Bryn Mawr College in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. While there, she spent one year studying abroad at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland.

Dr. Dunsmoor-Su received her medical degree as well as a master’s degree in clinical epidemiology and biostatistics (MSCE) from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in Philadelphia. She went on to complete her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Pennsylvania Health System.

After finishing her residency, Dr. Dunsmoor-Su took a job as a faculty member in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Washington in Seattle. There, she maintained a general OB/GYN practice and focused her academic time on teaching and directing the resident research program.

In 2013, she accepted a position at Swedish Medical Center as an OB Hospitalist, providing support, expertise, and continuing education for family medicine practitioners, OB residents, and family medicine fellows.

Through her wide-ranging experience, Dr. Dunsmoor-Su realized that there was an unmet need for treating menopausal women and cancer survivors. In 2016, she founded RENUvaGYN to help these women enjoy better sexual health and find relief from vaginal atrophy and urinary incontinence. She was the first gynecologist in Seattle to be certified in MonaLisa Touch® laser therapy.

Dr. Dunsmoor-Su’s many publications in peer-reviewed journals are a reflection of her varied interests in medicine and the time she spent conducting research with residents at the University of Washington.

Dr. Dunsmoor-Su is a fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She’s affiliated with the University of Washington Medical Center, UW Medicine/Valley Medicine, UW Medicine/Harborview Medical Center, and UW Medicine/Northwest Hospital & Medical Center.
